When was your first stage performance?
My first performance was on coki point beach in the Virgin islands where my dad use to dj the hottest dancehall music I was about 11 years old when he gave me the mic. I automatically took control and started entertaining the crowd with a song I wrote.
How did you come to understand your musical calling?
I understood my my musical calling was to be an entertainer from the crowd response. I have always been a tiny person and they were so amazed by my powerful voice. Ever since then I went home wrote more songs and participated in various talent shows.
You have collaborated with and shared the stage with international Soca king, Machel Montano, tell us about that experience.
To share the stage with the king of soca was a phenomenal experience when I asked him to collaborate on the song "Wip it" with me I was kind of scared he wouldn't like the song, but he loved it and when he came to St. John for carnival performance he was like are you ready let's do this I couldn't believe this was happening. The performance was a memorable experience for me and was definitely the push I needed to get to the next level.
You’ve gone from being dedicated young single mother, to achieving higher education obtaining your RDA, then coming to where you are now- a known artist with a bright future. What fueled your passion to succeed?
My son motivates me I want him to see as a strong woman that doesn't let obstacles get in my way. When I want something I go out there and get it no matter what it takes
